Skill sets & Capabilities

The Longview Company includes a team of extremely well-seasoned and world-renowned scientists, engineers and other skilled professionals who literally “wrote the book” on CCS/CCUS –directly pioneering several of the industy-leading and groundbreaking projects in the world oriented toward this Industrial Carbon Management business-space – in addition to contributing important Research and Development (R&D) and producing other significant technological advancements within the field.

Our team can assess and evaluate proposed projects, make recommendations, vet enabling technologies, highlight relevant risk factors, provide expert Third-Party assessments, verification and technical oversight services to client management teams, project owners and investors alike.

The team also has a direct and reciprocal partnering relationship with the leading ‘International Test Centre’ in the world (based in Western Canada) which specializes in Industrial (i.e., Anthropogenic) Post Combustion Capture (PCC) of CO2 — and can provide a suite of analytical and technical services to assist project developers and owners with industrial fluegas testing, profiling, modeling and optimization engineering of integrated Carbon Capture systems for site-specific CCS/CCUS project deployments et al.

Toward this end, our team has developed mobile testing systems (i.e., a suite of hardware kits) that can be brought to bear at prospective ‘Industrial Project Sites’ – to help clients evaluate Carbon Capture potential and better understand resulting project economics for new CCS/CCUS project builds and potential deployments within a variety of industrial settings.

On the R&D front, our team and its affliates have developed new amine solvent technologies and integrated catalyst solutions (i.e., new IP) which are designed to improve operational performance of commercially available solvent packages.  The Longview team is available to work on new Joint Venture (JV) projects, and perhaps other collaborative technology initiatives, and work toward commercializing new jointly-developed IP – to bring new integrated technology solutions to relevant CCUS industrial markets.  On the Personnel front, our team and its university affiliates can also provide highly-trained technical talent and remote analytical or diagnostic services to client companies as needed – to further help support, develop, augment or expand clients’ internal or external technical capacity – as may be needed or warranted for short-term projects or longer-term arrangements.
